Inside the September issue of Marie Claire, on page 125, is a Q&A with a former Match.com insider. (He also wrote Yahoo! personals, apparently)
As a recent (and somewhat reluctant) adapter to online dating, I was interested in what he had to say.
Well, here’s the deal: “The odds of meeting someone online and dating him more than a month are roughly 1 in 10.”
He borrows a line from He’s Just Not That Into You (one of my favorite Single Girl movies!) and says the happily coupled and married eHarmony grads who we see on the commercials “are the exceptions, not the rule.”
“You don’t have to pay $30 a month to be set up,” he asserts.
Well, none of us do, thanks to this website. Pinoy.ca has a collection of codes that are good in the U.S. and Canada. You can get one month for $14.95 (that’s what I did) and find codes for renewals/extensions from $4.95. Check it out—click here.
